Information for Crafters

If you are interested in joining our event as a vendor, first and foremost, the items you sell must be handmade by yourself, or at least by a friend you’re helping out. Please, no ready-made things merely embellished by you. Our definition of “handmade” has come to include self-published books.

PLEASE NOTE this information pertains to the 2011 Holiday Craft Fair. Things might change for 2012 - please come back in late spring/early summer for updated information

We offer booth spaces of approximately 10’ wide x 6‘ to 7’ deep [depends on hallway width - some spaces get a bit more, some a bit less] with a 6’ table and any number of chairs provided at no added cost. You are welcome to bring your own tables and racks as long as you more or less fit within the allotted space. The fee for the two day event is $85, with a limited number (16) of Saturday-only spaces available for $50. Electrical connections are an additional $10, and we require table coverings to the floor. These can be rented from us (nice black fabric tablecloths) for $10. All spaces are sold on a first-come, first-served basis; we do not jury your work but do reserve the right to limit the number of vendors of similar items.

The sale is held in the Roseville City Hall building. There are two levels, with the main, entry level being the upper level. On the upper level there’s room for about 12 crafters in the hallways, plus 12-13 in the special Green Gifts room in the City Council Chamber (vendors all selling items of an environmentally-friendly nature such as made from recycled materials, or being otherwise particularly eco-friendly or useful, etc.). We’ll give special emphasis on promoting the Green Gifts Room, so do let us know if you feel you qualify and want to be part of it.

There are two nice staircases and an elevator to bring the shoppers to the lower level. On that level in addition to the 16 Saturday-only crafters in the large conference room (Willow Room), there’s very comfortable space for 9 crafters in the long hallway that leads down to the Bur Oak Room, which is where Café Zia will be on site providing food and drink for sale. Off of this long hallway is the Hawthorne Room, a glass-fronted conference room with space for more than 2 crafters, but we’re calling it a two-table room. If you need lots and lots of space you could take the whole room as two tables’ worth, or you could end up sharing it with someone else (a friend? or possibly a stranger - we’d only do that if we get someone very anxious to participate and that’s the only space left).

We are very accommodating so if you have special requests we’ll try to make it happen, if you just ask. Can’t provide something unless we know it’s needed!
